Pagliacci Stocking PDF Pattern

£12.00

Make your own heirloom patchwork Christmas stocking again and again with this downloadable PDF pattern.

Clear step-by-step instructions and a stocking template to print at home.

Your pattern will be emailed automatically as soon as you have placed your order and will contain a zip file with the instructions, the stocking template for printing on A4 paper and the stocking template for printing on US Letter paper.

FABRIC REQUIREMENTS

Because this stocking uses such small amounts of each colour, it is a great way to use up scraps you have on hand already. However, if you are buying fabric for this project, a Fat Quarter of each of the below colours will be more than enough:

Navy, Ivory, Rose, Yellow, Teal, Coral, Green

Red x 0.75 meter / 0.75 yard

Lining (either ivory or calico) x 0.75 meter / 0.75 yard

12” (30cm) ribbon for the hanging loop

EQUIPMENT NEEDED

Printed paper stocking template - download includes A4 and Letter sized pdfs for printing at home

Sewing machine & thread

Pencil, ruler, scissors, pins

Iron & ironing board

Finished size approx. 56cm x 36cm

This stocking is also available ready-made and as a kit with pre-cut fabrics.

If you wish to hand sew your stocking you will need a hand sewing needle and a quilter's ruler to mark your seam widths. We sell a 4.5" Quilter’s Square Ruler which is perfect for marking seam widths on your fabric pieces.

In my house growing up, everyone had a stocking on Christmas morning. Stuffed with little presents, satsumas, sugar mice and chocolate coins, they helped kick the festivities off on Christmas Day (and also keep the kids occupied whilst coffee is being made). If I'm hosting Christmas I still make sure everyone has a stocking, including guests. Fully lined and finished with French seams, they are sturdy enough to be used for years to come and passed on to the next generation.
